A quick summary of some of the local fish shops I have visited in the last few months.

Name: Pet Masters	Location: Boksburg
They keep the tropical and marine fish in apalling conditions, you can wait for an hour for service, but they do have a large selection of koi, products and equipment, reasonably priced, so still worth a visit. I have seen injected glass fish here.

Name: Pet Masters	Location: Alberton
Not much stock, not much equipment, don't bother.

Name: Animal Kingdom	Location: Hillfox
Loads of stock, both plants and fish, nice variety in the plants, stocks the seachem flourish range, they seem to cater for the planted tank owner, worth a visit.

Name: Animal Kingdom	Location: Pretoria
Very similar setup to the one in Hillfox. Some interesting finds here periodically.

Name: Exotic Aquariums and Pets	Location: Boksburg
Loads of stock, both plants and fish, not much variety in the plants, huge marine section and they custom make tanks and stands, worth a visit.

Name: The VIP Pet Store	Location: Cresta
Nice clean shop, healthy stock, knowledgeable and helpful staff, worth a visit.

Name: Kenilworth Aquarium Center	Location: Kenilworth
Loads of stock, both plants and fish, not much variety in the plants, nice malawi and rift lake section and they custom make tanks and stands, worth a visit. I have seen dyed parrot fish here.

Name: The VIP Pet Store	Location: Northgate
Nice clean shop, healthy stock, knowledgeable and helpful staff, worth a visit. I found otto's here, and the really seem to cater for the planted enthusiast. Some interesting finds here periodically.

Name: The Glen Petz	Location: The Glen
Nice clean shop, limited though healthy stock, worth a visit. Hardly any plants. I have seen dyed parrot fish here.
